Dallas TikTok User Arrested for Allegedly Soliciting Murder of ICE Agents

An individual from Mexico has been apprehended in Dallas after posting content on TikTok that authorities interpreted as a solicitation for the murder of ICE agents. The United States Attorney’s office for the Northern District of Texas confirmed the arrest, indicating that Eduardo Aguilar, 23, faces a federal charge for the threatening communication shared online.

Court documents released by the U.S. Attorney’s Office specify the controversial post made by Aguilar on October 9. Featuring text superimposed on black and white imagery, the translation provided reads, “I need 10 dudes in Dallas with determination (guts) who aren’t afraid to [two skull emojis].” The emojis are typically understood to mean “die.” Following it, in a contrasting red and white text, the message insists on offering “10K for each ICE agent.” Acting on a tip from a concerned citizen, federal officers were able to arrest him, presenting the alleged evidence that led to his apprehension.

In response to this event, Acting U.S. Attorney Nancy E.
