The City of Grand Prairie will conduct ground spraying for mosquitoes on October 22 and 23, 2025. This follows the detection of a mosquito carrying West Nile Virus. Spraying will start at 9 p.m. each night, depending on weather, in the area bordered by W Bardin Road, Robinson Road, W Polo Road, and Matthew Road. Residents in this area should stay indoors, keep pets inside, and cover fish ponds during spraying.
Spraying will be rescheduled if wind speeds are above 10 mph or if it rains. The city asks residents to remove standing water to help reduce mosquito breeding. Residents are also advised to use insect repellent with at least 30 percent DEET, especially at dawn and dusk. Grand Prairie tests mosquito samples regularly as part of its West Nile Virus…..
