Early on a quiet Monday morning in Burleson, Texas, a sudden commotion disrupted the peace at the Boulevard Baptist Church when a man, later identified as Rafael Rodriguez Jr., allegedly broke in, and now details of the incident are unfolding as the police investigation advances.
According to a social media post by the Burleson Police Department, it was approximately 9:40 a.m. on October 20, when their Public Safety Communications received the initial call leading law enforcement to the location where they were greeted by the smell of smoke and found a man who had secured himself within a room inside the place of worship, who although creating a state of disorder and apparently attempting to kindle a fire within the church did not resist when prompted to exit the barricaded room.
