Arlington, Texas, is conducting several street maintenance projects with more than $19 million allocated for road improvements. The city’s Public Works Department began these projects in September 2025. The goal is to make streets smoother and more durable for residents and commuters. One of the main projects is on UTA Boulevard between Davis Drive and Cooper Street.
The 2025 street maintenance plan includes three main programs. The $4.1 million Mill & Overlay program will work on at least 15 streets, covering about 11 lane miles. This process removes the top two inches of asphalt and repaves the surface. It is used for streets with a mid-range Overall Condition Index (OCI) rating. Streets such as Connecticut Lane, Marthas Vineyard Drive, and UTA Boulevard are included. Work is expected to finish by September 2026.
Arlington is also spending $4.3 million on the Concrete Panel Replacement Program. This program replaces damaged sections of concrete roads, especially on busy streets.
