Former police evidence clerk sentenced after pleading guilty to stealing firearms while on the job

A former evidence clerk for two North Texas police departments has begun a 30-day jail sentence after pleading guilty to stealing firearms while on the job.

Carl Edmison reported Monday to the Lew Sterrett Justice Center in Dallas, where he will serve his sentence. Under a plea deal, he will also serve three years of probation and is barred from working for any government agency again.
