A North Texas GOP chairman with a history of firing off inflammatory, racially charged social media comments is in hot water again, this time for appearing to referring to people who receive federal food assistance as “chimps.”
Tarrant County GOP Chairman Bo French tweeted out the comment Tuesday, appearing to surmise what will happen when the White House cuts off funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) due to the government shutdown.
“November 1, 2025, is National Chimp Out Day,” French tweeted. “It’s going to be lit.”
