Arlington Woman Sentenced to 25 Years for Meth Possession and Intent to Deliver

The Johnson and Somervell County District Attorney’s Office announced that 35-year-old Samantha Joyce Legrand of Arlington has been sentenced to 25 years in the Texas Department of Corrections after being found guilty of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 (4–200 grams) with Intent to Deliver.

Legrand’s conviction stemmed from a traffic stop during which she gave officers a false name. During the investigation, officers discovered 10.88 grams of methamphetamine hidden in multiple locations inside the vehicle. She was also found to have several outstanding warrants, including a Tarrant County extradition warrant.

Legrand admitted to daily meth use and to selling both meth and marijuana in the past. She initially tried to conceal her identity by providing fake information and an old phone number, later admitting she did so because she knew she had an active warrant…
