FAA briefly closes western side of DFW Airport amid government shutdown staffing shortage, sources say

FORT WORTH, Texas — The FAA briefly shut down the western portion of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Sunday evening, airport officials confirmed to WFAA.

A check of live flight maps showed all arrivals and departures were departing from and arriving at the east side of the airport. A DFW Airport spokesperson confirmed that the FAA briefly closed the west side of the airport, but it has since reopened.
