Wednesday afternoon in Fort Worth turned deadly when a man was shot outside a home and died at the scene, authorities said. Officers were called around 2 p.m. for reports of gunfire and found an adult man with gunshot wounds to his torso. Medical crews tried lifesaving measures, but police said the victim was pronounced dead outside the residence.
Homicide detectives quickly locked down the area. Investigators stayed on scene into the afternoon, speaking with neighbors and anyone who might have seen or heard what happened.

As of Wednesday, officials had not released any suspect descriptions or other identifying information about those involved.
