Pregnant woman killed in Arlington I-20 shooting remembered as a hero

ARLINGTON, Texas — A 29-year-old pregnant woman killed in a shooting on Interstate 20 is being remembered by her family as a hero who shielded children from gunfire in her final moments.

Bre’Asia Johnson died after being shot while traveling westbound on I-20 near Bowman Springs Road at about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, Arlington police said. Family members confirmed Johnson was five months pregnant with her fourth child, a boy.
