In a display of commendable bravery, two Fort Worth police officers were recently recognized for their life-saving efforts. Officer Edwin Bounds and Sgt. Ryan Nichols was presented with Certificates of Recognition and also received trauma challenge coins by Cook Children’s Hospital for their quick response in a critical situation involving an infant, as per a social media post by the Fort Worth Police Department.
According to the Facebook post by Fort Worth Police Department, the officers, with the help of brave witnesses, were able to extricate the infant trapped beneath a wrecked vehicle. They successfully performed CPR and revived the child, maintaining her life until the Fort Worth Fire Department arrived to transport the infant to Cook Children’s Hospital. A statement in the post declared, “We are incredibly proud of Sgt. Nichols and Officer Bounds for their courage, professionalism, and dedication to protecting our community.”…
