H-E-B Opens 3rd Price-Conscious Format Store in North Texas

Joe V’s Smart Shop finds ways to reduce costs throughout its operations so it can pass those savings on to its customers

Texas retailer H-E-B has opened a Joe V’s Smart Shop in Irving, the brand’s third store in North Texas and its 14th location in the state. The 58,000-square-foot store features an assortment that’s uniquely curated for the Dallas=Fort Worth community.

Part of the H-E-B family of brands, the Joe V’s Smart Shop banner was launched in 2010. It uses “innovative ways” to reduce costs throughout its operations and passes those savings on to its customers.

Joe V’s Smart Shop touts fresh, high-quality products such as fresh produce, in-store cut meats, tortillas and breads made in store, and sushi made daily – all at the best prices possible. For example, customers can purchase 3 pounds of bananas for $1, meat/seafood bundle boxes that start at $20, and eight bolillos for $1 at the bakery.

“As we open our 14th Joe V’s Smart Shop, we’re excited to serve more Texans and expand our presence in North Texas,” said Roxanne Orsak, H-E-B COO. “We are committed to supporting this dynamic community with our fresh product selections and exceptional value.”

The Irving store is the third Joe V’s Smart Shop to open in Texas this year. In March, the retailer opened its second location in Dallas, at 7700 Samuell Boulevard. In August, the company opened its 13th location, in north Houston, at I-45 and West Road. Last year, the first Joe V’s Smart Shop to operate outside Houston opened in Dallas at 4101 West Wheatland Road…
