Three Remington revolvers used by Clint Eastwood in the 1985 Western, “Pale Rider,” are headed to auction next month in Texas.
Rock Island Auction Company, based in Bedford, about 200 miles north of Austin, plans to sell the trio of revolvers during its Premier Auction on Dec. 5. The guns were handled by Eastwood during filming and come with documentation from Stembridge Gun Rentals, a longtime supplier of film and television props.
Eastwood directed, produced and starred in the film, playing the “preacher.” The performance helped solidify his reputation as an on-screen gunslinger and revived interest in Westerns in the 1980s.
