Former Arlington Mayor Elzie Odom to lie in state at City Hall Wednesday

Celebrations of the life and legacy of former Arlington Mayor Elzie Odom begin Wednesday, a week and a half after his death at age 96.

Odom was the first Black mayor and first Black City Council member elected in Arlington, the area’s third-largest city.
