Early Friday Morning Vehicle Burglary in Irving Leads to Arrest of Wanted Suspect

Early Friday morning, Irving police were dispatched after a 911 caller reported someone breaking into vehicles. Officers arrived in the area and quickly found a woman matching the description provided. When they tried to identify her, she gave them false information. A search turned up fentanyl in her possession.

She was eventually identified as 23-year-old Jennifer Reyes-Valtierra. Officers learned she had three active warrants: one out of Arlington for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and two out of Dallas County for Theft of Property and Escape While Arrested.

The escape charge traces back to a July 10, 2025 arrest in Dallas. She was originally booked for Theft between $750 and $2,500. While being taken into custody by a Dallas officer, she managed to escape but was caught shortly afterward. A judge later reduced the charge to a misdemeanor, set her bond at $10,000, and she was released the next day on a personal recognizance bond, meaning she paid no money to get out.
