Nursing students at Tarrant County College’s TR East Campus have expressed concerns about instability and last-minute changes in their program. Many students say frequent changes in class and clinical schedules make it hard to manage their coursework. Some report waiting past scheduled testing times due to overlapping room bookings and sudden schedule changes.
Ruth Judd, a student, said adapting to new nursing directors each year makes it difficult to have a consistent plan for the program. Another student, Sylvia Itebalumhe, said the demanding schedule is challenging, especially when two major exams fall on the same day. She said this situation was stressful and made her consider leaving the program when pharmacology and Adult Med Surge exams were scheduled together. These conflicts add to the pressure of the academic environment.
