Demorris Albright, a 42-year-old known gang member, has been handed a 50-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to drug possession charges. The conviction is a result of a traffic stop by Fort Worth police, when they discovered methamphetamine in Albright’s vehicle.
The Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office shared the news, commending the officers for their vigilance. Albright was initially pulled over for a minor traffic violation, but the stop escalated quickly to an arrest once officers found the narcotics.
