A majority of babies are diaper-insecure in these North Texas counties

DALLAS — Tens of thousands of North Texas babies live in households that struggle to afford diapers, according to a new study from the Urban Institute.

The study found that a majority of babies, children 3 and younger, living in several North Texas counties may not have reliable access to diapers.

The data used in the study comes from the National Diaper Bank Network’s 2024 Annual Member Survey and 2023 U.S. Census data, according to the Urban Institute.
