Irving police arrested a 48-year-old man after a fight involving a firearm outside a 7-Eleven near West Northgate Drive and Esters Road on December 4.
Around 3:45 p.m., officers were sent to the store after multiple callers reported two men fighting, with one possibly armed. When the first officer arrived, he spoke with the victim, Deonte Woods, who said he had been in an altercation with his former stepfather and past household cohabitant, Antonio T. Scarver of Dallas.
Woods told officers that Scarver pulled out a gun, pointed it at him and threatened him, causing him to fear for his life. A physical fight followed, during which Scarver struck Woods with the firearm. A witness, Gregory Tyrone Lewis, stepped in and managed to break up the fight…
