A Houston man, Corey Dashun Holloway, was sentenced to over seven years in federal prison for his involvement in a “jugging” robbery of an ATM technician. Holloway, aged 30, pled guilty to interference with commerce by robbery and was given an 87-month sentence by U.S. Senior District Judge David Godbey. Holloway is one of four individuals connected with the Houston-based “Hiram Clarke Money Team,” a group known for conducting robberies in and around the Houston area, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas.
In the court case, records show that on July 3, 2024, Holloway and his accomplices followed an ATM technician through multiple stops before robbing him at a Midlothian, Texas, Chase Bank, at approximately 5:35 p.m. The three men involved wore hoodies and face coverings to hide their identities during the robbery, and they managed to escape with roughly $260,000. After the heist, Holloway was spotted flaunting large amounts of cash on social media, using the stolen funds to buy lavish jewelry, including a diamond Rolex. At the time of the crime, he was already on probation in Collin County, Texas, for similar offenses.
The sentencing also saw Holloway’s associates face justice, with Tierra Toneisha Brandyberg receiving a 41-month sentence on November 3, while Johnny Clark was handed a 96-month term earlier on August 4, according to records. Roosevelt Ford Valentine, another accomplice, pled guilty to related charges and is currently awaiting sentencing.
