FORT WORTH, Texas — The execution of a man convicted of kidnapping and killing a retired TCU professor outside of a Fort Worth grocery store has been scheduled, according to court documents.
Edward Lee Busby Jr., 53, who was sentenced to death in 2005, will be executed on May 14, 2026, a court order said.
Busby was convicted of abducting Laura Lee Crane, a 77-year-old retired TCU professor, from a grocery store parking lot and killing her, authorities said.
