Arlington Bar Parking Lot Clash Ends In Deadly Late-Night Shooting

A late-night confrontation outside an Arlington bar turned deadly yesterday when a 33-year-old man was shot multiple times and killed in the 1000 block of Northeast Green Oaks Boulevard, police said. Officers arrested 31-year-old Daniel Munoz on a murder charge and detained a 32-year-old woman, Karina Fuentes, near the scene. The victim was pronounced dead where he was found in the parking lot and has not yet been publicly identified.

Police Say Late-Night Argument Exploded Into Gunfire

Officers responded around 1:50 a.m. after reports of gunfire outside the bar. Witnesses told investigators that a verbal argument in the parking lot escalated into the shooting, according to The Dallas Morning News. Sgt. Richard Coleman, an Arlington police spokesperson, outlined the timeline for reporters and said investigators found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds in the 1000 block of Northeast Green Oaks Boulevard.

Suspect Located Nearby With Firearm, Claims Self-Defense

Police say they found Munoz in a vehicle near the scene of the shooting and recovered a firearm from the back seat.
