Dallas Man Busted After Shooting Threat Rattles Eagle Pass Casino

A threat to “shoot up” the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino in Eagle Pass sent multiple law enforcement agencies racing to the tribal complex on Wednesday, ending with a Dallas man in jail and a community on edge all over again.

Authorities say a 25-year-old from Dallas called in the threat targeting the popular casino. Kickapoo Tribal Police tracked him down at the tribal complex, took him into custody and discovered he was not armed. Investigators later deemed the threat unfounded, but the episode still triggered a heavy response and stirred up fears in a town still shaken by a deadly attack in September.

According to News 4 San Antonio, the suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Eddie Andrade of Dallas. Officials said tribal police made the initial arrest and Andrade was then booked into the Maverick County jail. Even without a weapon recovered at the scene, authorities stressed they are treating the alleged threat as a serious criminal matter.
