ARLINGTON — The City of Arlington announced holiday closures and service schedule adjustments in observance of Christmas. Municipal offices and city facilities will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, and Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025.
Residential and commercial garbage and recycling collection will not occur Thursday, Dec. 25. Because of the holiday, curbside collection for affected residents will shift by one day. Residents whose regular collection day falls on Dec. 25 will receive service Friday, Dec. 26. Those normally scheduled for Friday collection will receive service Saturday, Dec. 27. Regular garbage and recycling schedules will resume Monday, Dec. 29.
On Wednesday, Dec. 24, several city facilities will operate with limited availability while most offices remain closed. Arlington City Hall, the City Office Tower, Arlington Municipal Court, public library branches, recreation centers, and several administrative offices will be closed.
