An alert Lakeside police officer is being credited with rescuing an elderly woman and a child during an active domestic violence incident in west Tarrant County.
On Saturday, December 27, 2025, at approximately 11:46 a.m., the Lakeside Police Department was dispatched to assist a neighboring agency with a reported domestic disturbance. Dispatch advised responding units that they could hear a male screaming at a female and threatening to kill her. The female victim was later identified as the suspect’s elderly mother.
While officers were en route, dispatch received GPS information from the victim’s cell phone indicating the individuals were inside a moving vehicle. With no description of the vehicle available, Officer Christopher Thibodeaux began scanning traffic in the area…
