A group of Buddhist monks walking from Fort Worth, Texas to Washington D.C. have reached the Atlanta metro area, and their path now takes them inside the perimeter.
The monks, under the name of a “Walk for Peace,” spent the night of Dec. 29 in Morrow, Georgia where a ceremony was held during their evening rest.
A previous estimated route kept the monks outside the perimeter of Atlanta, marked by I-285 encircling the city. Their path updates and changes as plans are made for the monks to find lunch and overnight rest stops.
