New Year’s Eve feels like the perfect day to share a video like the one below. I view it as a bit of a public service announcement for those who are headed out to party tonight.
When a Fun Night Out Means Different Things to Different People
The thing you have to understand is that going out for a good time has a different meaning, depending on the person. For me, it means going out and having a few drinks with friends and family and enjoying some good music, even if it’s merely pumping money into the juke box. My best guess is that most folks are more like me.

And then you have those whose meaning of a good time involves getting drunk and throwing hands with whoever is willing to engage them. And believe me when I tell you that those people will be out in force tonight. Don’t say I didn’t warn you when someone gets in your face and tries to provoke you when all you’re looking to do is have a fun night out.
Now, I don’t know what led to the brawl on 7th Street in Fort Worth. But I do know that the bar scene is always kicking there. I also know that the brawl happened after the bars closed at 2:00 am, which reminds me of the famous line from Dazed and Confused where the bully Clint says, “I only came here to do two things, kick some ass and drink some beer.
