Former Texas panhandle police officer who survived 2015 shotgun attack suffers stroke

FORT WORTH, Texas — Houston Gass, a longtime law enforcement officer in the Texas panhandle, is in a Fort Worth hospital after suffering what doctors believe was a stroke.

In 2015, Gass was a sergeant with the Pampa Police Department when was shot in the face with a 12-gauge shotgun during a domestic call.
