Two Injured in Drive-By Shooting at Fort Worth Bus Station, Police Seek Leads

In a sobering start to the weekend, two individuals were injured during a drive-by shooting at a busy Fort Worth bus station last Friday evening. According to the WFAA, Fort Worth Police received calls about the incident at the junction of East Lancaster Avenue and Sargent Street. A vehicle reportedly approached the East Lancaster bus transfer station, from which shots were fired, striking the two victims.

The Star-Telegram reports that the shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m., with one victim taking a bullet to the shoulder and the other sustaining an injury to the arm. Both victims have been transported to local hospitals and are fortunately faced with non-life-threatening wounds. The precise circumstances that led to the shooting remain under investigation; however, the Fort Worth Police Department’s Gun Violence Unit is actively pursuing leads.
