Dallas man sentenced to federal prison for ATM robbery spree

PLANO, Texas — A 29-year-old Dallas man has been sentenced to 57 months in federal prison for his involvement in a series of ATM robberies in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney Jay R. Combs.

Dominique Marquis Childress pleaded guilty to Hobbs Act robbery and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Sean D. Jordan on December 15, 2025. According to court documents, Childress participated in a crime spree from May 16 to June 1, 2023, targeting convenience stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The scheme involved smashing storefront glass with a sledgehammer and using a stolen vehicle to drag ATMs from the stores.
