ARLINGTON, Texas — The Arlington Police Department has inaugurated a new storefront, known as a “cop shop,” in the southeast area of the city. This initiative aims to enhance police visibility and provide officers with a convenient workspace.
The Arlington City Council approved funding for the satellite office, located at 6516 New York Avenue, during the Fiscal Year 2025 budget cycle. This marks the fourth cop shop in the South District, which spans from west of U.S. 287 to State Highway 360. Other locations include the Parks Mall, Arlington Highlands, and near U.S. 287 and Sublett Road.
