“A Small Church with a Big Heart: Serving Kennedale with Faith and Love Since 1903”

A Church with Deep Roots and Open Arms:

First United Methodist Church of Kennedale

For more than a century, First United Methodist Church of Kennedale has been a steady presence in the heart of our town. Established at its current location in 1903, the church at 229 W. 4th Street stands as a testament to faith, service, and community—values that continue to guide its mission today.

Though small in size, Kennedale FUMC is truly mighty in spirit. Community outreach is at the very heart of the church’s ministry, lived out daily through hands-on service and neighborly care. One shining example is The Mission Store, open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., offering affordable items while supporting ministry efforts. In addition, the FUMC Food Pantry serves local families in need on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Hospitality is another cornerstone of this church family. Every Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m., the doors of Dover Hall (208 Municipal Dr.) open wide for a FREE Community Dinner, welcoming anyone who would like to share a meal and fellowship—no strings attached, just good food and friendly faces…
