The North Texas groom in what was dubbed “the wedding of the century,” which went viral on social media and reportedly cost $59 million, was given deferred adjudication after facing multiple counts of assaulting police officers, court records showed.
Jacob LaGrone, 30, was set to go on trial Jan. 8 for three counts of assault on a public servant, a first-degree felony, where he faced “either life in prison or a sentence of not more than 99 years or less than five,” if convicted. WFAA found that, on Jan. 7, court records showed Lagrone was granted deferred adjudication instead, where Lagrone pled guilty to all three charges, and a judge gave him a probation term, where he must follow strict conditions in order for the case to ultimately be dismissed if he follows said orders…
