Fort Worth Man Arrested After Threat Against Paradise ISD Student Prompts Increased Security

WISE COUNTY, Texas – A 42-year-old Fort Worth man was taken into custody Thursday, January 15, 2026, after authorities say he made a threat to abduct and harm a juvenile relative who attends Paradise ISD.

According to the Wise County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect made statements that led investigators to believe there was a potential threat involving a student. Out of an abundance of caution, deputies coordinated with the Texas Highway Patrol to increase law enforcement presence at all Paradise ISD campuses while the situation was assessed.

Officials emphasized that the suspect was never on any Paradise ISD campus. He was later located in Richardson, Texas, where he was arrested without incident.
