Officer credits bullet-resistant glass for saving life in Fort Worth shootout; police expands safety program

FORT WORTH, Texas — The Fort Worth police officer involved in a shootout last year said bullet-resistant glass is one of the main reasons he is still alive.

“A few inches and no bulletproof glass. I wouldn’t be able to think about any of this,” Officer Lorenzo Burrell said.
