Popular BBQ joint closes its flagship Fort Worth location, expands new low-cost offerings

FORT WORTH, Texas — One of Fort Worth’s original craft barbecue spots, Heim BBQ, will leave its flagship location on Magnolia Avenue in Fort Worth next month as is prepares to open a new, lower-cost concept.

The Magnolia Avenue location, the restaurant’s first, will close Feb. 1, co-owner Will Churchill confirmed.

Heim BBQ started as many craft barbecue restaurants do, with pop-up dinners for friends and family that evolved into a food truck and later became a brick-and-mortar restaurant.
