1 dead, 2 injured in Wednesday crash on RM 2381 north of Bushland

POTTER COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Texas Department of Public Safety released information on a Wednesday evening crash in Potter County which killed one Fort Worth man and injured two people from Channing.

According to Texas DPS, 27-year-old Travis Reed of Fort Worth was driving a 2001 Honda Accord at around 7:06 p.m. Wednesday, traveling southbound on RM 2381 north of Bushland. Meanwhile, a Ford Expedition carrying one woman and one child from Channing was traveling north on RM 2381.

Texas DPS said “for an unknown reason,” Reed’s vehicle entered the northbound lane and struck the Ford Expedition.

The Ford Expedition caught fire “and became fully engulfed,” though the two people from Channing were able to exit the vehicle before it was completely overtaken by flames, said officials…
