ARLINGTON, Texas – When Mia Lanning arrived at Medical City Arlington for a routine pre-birth appointment on Monday, January 19, she never expected to welcome her daughter just hours later. Elowyn was born early the following morning and was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for specialized monitoring and care.
Although Mia was medically cleared for discharge, the winter storm threatened travel conditions and made the thought of leaving her newborn especially difficult. Recognizing the emotional and logistical challenges, the Medical City Arlington care team stepped in to help.
