Teenager Fatally Shot in East Fort Worth, Suspect Charged with Manslaughter

A teenage boy has lost his life after a shooting incident in East Fort Worth, with police making an arrest nearly a month after the tragedy. Recognized as 15-year-old Ricardo Acevedo, the victim succumbed to a gunshot wound to the torso, WFAA reports.

The Fort Worth Police Department responded to a call on the 7400 block of Snow Ridge Dr. on December 22, just before 2:30 p.m., where officers discovered the male victim. Despite prompt medical attention and transportation to the hospital, Acevedo died from his wounds. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased, his life cut short in the bloom of youth.

In the wake of the shooting, police have apprehended 17-year-old Justin Wells and have charged him with manslaughter, as detailed in the arrest made on January 27.
