Fort Worth Police Department Honors Fallen Sergeant by Renaming South Division Headquarters

The Fort Worth Police Department has recently paid homage to a late member of their force by renaming the South Division Headquarters after Sgt. Billy Randolph. The new designation, “Billy Randolph South Division Headquarters,” was unveiled yesterday, as reported by the City of Fort Worth. This move comes as a mark of respect for Sgt. Randolph’s extensive service and impact on the force and community span three decades.

During a somber scene, while supervising the cleanup of a fiery accident on the morning of August 12, 2024, Randolph made the ultimate sacrifice. A vehicle plowed through barricades going the wrong way and struck Randolph, who was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital, unable to survive the injuries he sustained, as stated by the Fort Worth Police Department. The driver involved continued driving before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot, and was later taken into custody and charged with intoxication manslaughter…
