A Dallas County juvenile court judge has returned a true finding and imposed the maximum allowable sentence of 40 years in detention in a capital murder case involving a 13-year-old defendant.
The case followed a series of violent offenses committed by the juvenile prior to the capital murder, including Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Aggravated Robbery at separate locations. After three days of testimony, the judge found the allegations to be true and entered a guilty adjudication.
