Arlington Pastor Arrested in Irving, Charged with Indecency with a Child

IRVING, TX – A founding pastor of an Arlington-based non-denominational church is behind bars facing a second-degree felony charge of Indecency with a Child – Sexual Contact for an incident dating back nearly two decades.

Troyce Hernandez, 50, of Kennedale, who also goes by “Troy Hernandez”, was arrested by Irving Police on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. After being booked into the Irving Jail, Hernandez was transferred to the Dallas County Jail on Thursday morning.

The Charges and Legal Standing

According to court records, Judge Isabel Cruz set Hernandez’s bond at $25,000 for the felony charge (Warrant #F2632842). He has posted bail and has been released pending a court hearing. The Dallas County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case and could not comment further than that.

The Irving Police Department confirmed that the investigation into Hernandez stems from an incident that occurred in 2008. While detectives currently do not believe there are other victims, they emphasized that the investigation remains active…
