Killeen, Tx (FOX 44) – Bond has been set at $75,000 24-year-old Fort Worth man held in the Bell County Jail after an employee of Advent Health in Killeen was punched.
Killeen Police Department spokesperson Ofelia Miramontez said it happened Friday as a patient was being discharged and was refusing to leave the property at 2201 Clear Creek Road. A security employee was dispatched to escort the patient outside the building. The patient, later identified as Leon James Smith of Fort Worth, is accused of making threats against the employee as he was being escorted out. When the employee was directing him where to walk to leave the property, the employee was punched multiple times. The victim was able to detain the man until additional officers could arrive to help, While the other officers were on the way, the employee was spat on.
Additional officers and Smith was arrested on felony charges of assault on a public servant…
