Fort Worth, Texas – The City of Fort Worth’s Park & Recreation Department is calling on photographers from across the community to help shape the future of photography in local parks. A new “Photographers in Parks” focus group will be held in February to collect input from both professionals and hobbyists regarding updates to the city’s photography permit policy.
The current push to revise the policy is driven by concerns about overcrowding, trampling, and long-term sustainability. As more individuals and professionals use public parks for photo sessions, the city hopes to establish a framework that balances artistic expression with environmental protection.
The focus group is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at the Como Community Center, located at 4660 Horne Street.
