Italian restaurant from Aspen to open west Fort Worth location

An Italian restaurant from Aspen, Colorado, will replace Bella Italia on its landmark corner at Camp Bowie Boulevard and Merrick Street, according to a city zoning application.

Acquolina, one of several Aspen restaurants owned in part by energy executive John Sellers of Fort Worth, has applied for a zoning change to build a 9,020-square-foot restaurant and parking at 5139 Camp Bowie Blvd.

Acquolina is one of Aspen’s highest-rated restaurants. According to an Aspen Times review, it “feels like Italy, minus the jet lag. … It’s Aspen with a Roman soul.”…
