ELLIS COUNTY, Texas — A Dallas County man has been convicted in connection with an incident at a wedding venue in Ennis that led to a foot chase and struggle with deputies.
Ellis County and District Attorney Lindy Beaty announced that on February 4, 2026, a jury found Jose Luis Guzman guilty of Resisting Arrest and Evading Arrest or Detention.
The charges stem from an incident on November 9, 2024, at Wranch, a wedding venue in Ennis. Ellis County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the location after receiving a noise complaint.
