Fort Worth police told FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth that the pickup struck the rear of a semi-truck’s trailer as northbound traffic neared the Highway 287 ramp at Basswood, and the pickup driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The station reported that all northbound lanes were closed while crews cleared the wreck. Officials had not released the driver’s name, according to the report.
