FORT WORTH — On his 23rd birthday, Saaith Lara, a resident of Odessa, decided to give a meaningful gift to the man who raised him and gave him so much throughout his life.
Instead of wondering what he would receive for his birthday, Lara thought about a significant gift he could give his father figure. Lara chose to give Alonso Lara the gift of life by donating his kidney to the man who raised him.
