Arlington Teen Sentenced to 30 Years for Deadly Vape Deal Shooting

FORT WORTH, Texas — An Arlington man has been sentenced to three decades in prison after pleading guilty to murder in a 2024 shooting connected to a vape pen transaction.

On Friday, February 20, 2026, 18-year-old Joshua Kavaun Nunn pleaded guilty to Murder in Tarrant County. A judge sentenced him to 30 years in prison.

The conviction stems from a June 24, 2024, shooting in the 400 block of Claire Court in Arlington.

According to investigators, Nunn arranged to meet two men to purchase vape pens. When the victims arrived at the location in a vehicle, Nunn opened fire, striking both occupants. Arlington Police officers responded to the scene at approximately 7:24 p.m. and located 18-year-old Jesus Galarza and a 20-year-old passenger suffering from gunshot wounds…
