Aurora said it is tripling its driverless truck network across the Southern U.S., expanding to 10 routes and adding longer hauls, including a roughly 1,000-mile run between Fort Worth and Phoenix.
The expansion follows a recent software release that allows Aurora’s trucks to travel longer distances without a human safety monitor on board. According to the company, driverless trucks are now running on routes such as Dallas to Houston, Fort Worth to El Paso, and El Paso to Phoenix.
